SAN JUAN
En la boda de Don Omar y Jackie Guerrido, celebrada
la noche del sábado en Puerto Rico, el reggaetonero
se emocionó al borde del llanto.
Según informes del periódico El Nuevo
Día, la presentadora de televisión, que
lució muy feliz en todo momento, exclamó
“Yes, I do!”, mientras que el cantante,
cuyo nombre de pila es William Omar Landrón,
dijo “Acepto”, en tono nervioso, muy distinto
a su carácter habitual.
La pareja de puertorriqueños contrajo nupcias
en una ceremonia por el rito evangélico celebrada
en el Hotel Ritz Carlton de Carolina, ciudad contigua
a San Juan, ante unos 300 invitados.
El salón del reconocido hotel estaba decorado
al estilo rococó con hortensias y cerezos en
flor, mientras que la terraza del hotel estaba cubierta
por telones blancos y 7,000 hortensias en tonos lila
y malva.
La celebración contó con dos pasteles,
uno de 11 tortas decoradas con cristales Swarovski y
6,500 flores en papel dorado comestible. El otro pastel,
color violeta y dorado, tenía una corona.

In Don Omar and Jackie Guerrido’s
wedding, which was celebrated in Puerto
Rico on Saturday night, the reggaetonero
was moved almost to tears.
According to reports in the newspaper
El Nuevo Día, the television personality,
who had a smile on her face throughout
the whole time, exclaimed “Yes,
I do!,” while the singer, whose
real name is William Omar Landron, said
“acepto,” in a nervous tone,
very different from his usual character.
The Puerto Rican couple was married in
an evangelical ceremony at the Hotel Ritz
Carlton of Carolina, a city close to San
Juan, before 300 guests.
The hall at the hotel was decorated in
the rococo style with hydrangeas and cherry
blossoms, while the hotel’s terrace
was covered in white curtains with 7,000
lilac and mauve hydrangeas.
The celebration had two cakes, one was
11 tiers decorated with Swarovski crystals
and 6,500 flowers in gold edible paper.
The second cake was colored with violet
and gold and had a crown.
