Acepto mi pasado”, aseguró la Trevi a The

Gloria Trevi assured
Monday that her life has been a carnival,
moments before singing the song by the
famous singer Celia Cruz for the first
time on a program in Miami in a duo with
the Cuban singer Albita.
After the “storm” that she
encoutered while she was in prison a few
years ago, the controversial Mexican star
said she feels complete, secure and a
winner, in one of the best times of her
life.
“Everything I have lived has served
me as experience and it has made me into
the person I am today. I may not be the
best in the world, but if I were to erase
anything I would have less experience,
less knowledge and less capacity to sing,
to deliver myself, to sing.
I accept my past,” assured La Trevi
to The Associated Press in a telephone
interview, hours before recording “La
descarga con Albita,” which is televised
in the United States every Sunday.
La Trevi, who plans on celebrating her
20-year-long career next year, predicts
that she will have a mega concert in Mexico
lasting four to six hours with an audience
from different cities and countries that
could also be recorded for a live album
or a television special.
La Trevi, who recently recorded her hit
“Cinco minutos” in Miami in
the pasito duranguense genre, feels that
there are “a lot of things”
professionally that are left for her to
do.
“I need to do everything…I
need to make the best album of my life,
I need to have the best concert of my
life,” she declared. “The
best is yet to come.”
